Dear Church,
Just when we thought it might be in our rear-view mirror, here we are again facing decisions about masks and other issues that pertain to the pandemic. From the beginning of the pandemic, we the elders of NCC have not wanted to start the conversation with science, politics or effective practices, rather with Jesus and the unity of his Bride. We will continue to make that our primary call and goal in this ongoing season. Let us all continue on in this...
Make every effort to keep the unity of the Spirit through the bond of peace. There is one body and one Spirit, just as you were called to one hope when you were called; one Lord, one faith, one baptism; one God and Father of all, who is over all and through all and in all.
– Ephesians 4:3-6
We are a people gathered to Jesus; our crucified, resurrected and forever exalted Savior. This is our song, this is our identity, this is our cause!
As you may have heard, the state is being asked to mask up again. This pertains to those vaccinated and unvaccinated. These are strange times and being cautious for the sake of others makes sense. So, we are asking that you all would consider joining with the eldership team in wearing a mask to our in-person gatherings. This is not a mandate, just a request.
Parents, please consider having your children above the age of 2 years old wear a mask. This will help our NCC Kids volunteers feel more comfortable as they serve our kiddos.

We do want to encourage you to join us in person as it's so important for us to be together. We are bombarded with voices throughout the week and we believe our times together will build you up and encourage you.
Please know that our response is not out of fear, rather out of a desire to protect the vulnerable among us and to do our part in the renewal of this city.
Please know that you are dearly loved!
With gratitude,
The NCC Elders
