We have officially entered into the Advent season. Advent is a season of expectant waiting. A season where we remember how the Father gave the Son to live among the filth and stinch of this world. A season where we remember that God became flesh and dwelt among us. This is no small thing!
In a culture where this season is marked with hurry, stress and often depression, we encourage you to stop, rest and remember. Below is a devotional written by our NCC Kids director, Jessica Cohoe. Our prayer is that it would serve you and your familes as you wait expectantly.
I want to encourage you to spend time remembering the gift of Jesus this season. Find ways to give generously, just as the Father gave generously. Find ways to serve, just as the Son came to serve and not to be served. Find fresh ways to worship our Rescuer and Redeemer. Don't buy into the cultural hype, it will leave you feeling empty and disatisfied. Take the time to engage with your Father who loves you so much that He gave His only Son!
